The certification for lifting capacity under different wind speed working condition
22 August,2018
Rated lifting capacities do not account for wind on lifted load or boom. We recommend against working under the conditions that the load is out of control due to a strong wind.
Truck Crane: During boom lift, consider that the rated lifting capacity is reduced by 60% when the instantaneous wind speed is 9m/s to 12m/s; reduced by 80% when the instantaneous wind speed is 12m/s to 14m/s. if the instantaneous wind speed is 14m/s or over, stop operation. During jib lift, stop operate if the instantaneous wind speed is 9 m/s or over. It applies to all the truck crane of SANY under 100t(Not include 100t)
Rough terrain crane: During boom lift, consider that the rated lifting capacity is reduced by 60% when the instantaneous wind speed is 9m/s to 12m/s; reduced by 80% when the instantaneous wind speed is 12m/s to 14m/s. if the instantaneous wind speed is 14m/s or over, stop operation. During jib lift, stop operate if the instantaneous wind speed is 9 m/s or over. It applies to all the truck crane of SANY under 100t(Not include 100t), It applies to all the rough terrain crane of SANY
All terrain crane:
During boom lift, When the boom length is 36m below( include 36m), consider that the rated lifting capacity is reduced by 50% when the instantaneous wind speed is 11.4m/s to 14m/s; if the instantaneous wind speed is 14m/s or over, stop operation.
During boom lift, When the boom length is over 36m, consider that the rated lifting capacity is reduced by 50% when the instantaneous wind speed is 9-11.1m/s; if the instantaneous wind speed is 11.1m/s or over, stop operation.
